On September 24, 2026, I returned to the TID Taiwan Interior Design Award for my second consecutive year as the DJ for Designers’ Night. The 19th edition of the awards was held at Taipei Performing Arts Center, bringing together interior designers, industry professionals, and guests to celebrate outstanding achievements in design.
Organized by the Chinese Society of Interior Designers (CSID), the TID Award recognizes excellence and creativity across a wide range of interior design disciplines.
From the Awards Ceremony to Designers’ Night
Following the awards ceremony, the event transitioned into Designers’ Night, a social gathering where guests could relax, network, and celebrate with fellow members of the design community.
I was invited back by Tetate, the event production company responsible for organizing and delivering the event, to provide the music for this part of the evening.
My DJ set ran from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, with a musical direction focused on contemporary electronic dance music and modern techno.
Music for a Creative Industry Event
The music brief called for a high-energy electronic soundtrack, but with an important consideration: guests needed to be able to mingle and hold conversations comfortably.
Rather than treating the reception as a traditional nightclub party, I kept the music upbeat and engaging while maintaining an appropriate volume for the social atmosphere.
This balance is an important part of DJing corporate events and industry gatherings. The music should contribute to the energy of the room without competing with conversations or distracting from the purpose of the event.
A Second Year with the TID Award
It was a pleasure to return for another year and once again work with the team at Tetate.
Events like the TID Award are a great opportunity to bring contemporary electronic music into a different setting, supporting the atmosphere of a professional gathering while giving guests an enjoyable way to round off the evening.
Thanks again to Tetate and the TID Award organizers for having me back!
