International Cooperation
In September 2025, I was contacted by Italian event agency Accent Communication to support the event’s DJ and music programming for The Unexpected – A Davines Hair Experience, a two-day international event held across several venues in Taipei.
The event brought together hundreds of Davines guests, artists, educators, and industry professionals from Taiwan and around the world. My role focused on DJ performance, music programming, and local artist coordination, while Accent worked directly with the venues and other local vendors on the wider event production.
Opening event at Legacy TERA
The first day began at Legacy TERA, located within the Taipei Music Center complex. I provided music as approximately 350 guests arrived for the main auditorium presentation and hair show.
My set was designed to establish the atmosphere before the stage program began, welcoming the international audience with a polished selection that complemented the visual identity and creative direction of the event.
Once the main show concluded, the evening continued at another venue within the Taipei Music Center campus.

Dinner and social reception at the Cultural Cube
Following the presentation, guests moved to the Cultural Cube Lobby for a standing dinner and social reception.
The music initially served as a sophisticated backdrop for dinner, conversation, and networking. As the evening developed, however, the energy naturally increased and the reception gradually took on more of a party atmosphere.
The program also included a live violin performance. In addition to DJing the reception, I coordinated with the local violinists and their management to collect, prepare, and organize the backing music required for their performances.
Balancing the scheduled entertainment with the changing energy of the room was an important part of the evening. The result was a smooth progression from formal reception music into a livelier social event.

Closing party at Taipei New Horizon
For the second evening, the event moved to the 14th floor of Taipei New Horizon for a closing party attended by approximately 400 guests.
I booked my friend and fellow DJ Robi Roka to perform at the party. I was on hand to supervise the DJ arrangements and assist with local coordination.
This allowed Accent Communication to work with a reliable local DJ team across both days of the event, while maintaining continuity between the different venues, audiences, and stages of the music program.

International event coordination in Taiwan
It was exciting to work with an Italian event agency and the team of Taiwanese venues, performers, and production partners involved in bringing the event together.
Projects such as this require more than simply arriving and playing music. They involve understanding the purpose of each part of the event, communicating with international organizers, coordinating with local artists, preparing the correct music assets, and adapting to the atmosphere as the event develops.
The Unexpected – A Davines Hair Experience was a memorable two-day project and a great example of how carefully planned music can support every stage of an international corporate event, from guest arrival and hospitality through to the closing celebration.
