On February 26 and March 5, 2025, I had the pleasure of DJing for ASH GOLF’s SS25 VIP fashion shows, held at the brand’s flagship stores in Taipei and Taichung.
The events showcased the Spring/Summer 2025 collections from BOSS GOLF, G/FORE and CHERVO, presenting a contemporary approach to golf fashion that combines performance, premium design and everyday lifestyle.
The presentation reflected ASH GOLF’s concept of “cross-scene fashion”—bringing golf apparel beyond the course and into urban, leisure and social settings. That same idea also influenced the way I structured the music throughout each event.
Music Designed Around Each Stage of the Event
Rather than approaching the event as one continuous DJ set, I programmed the music around the different stages of the guest experience.
Guest Arrival
I began with soulful deep house, creating a relaxed and refined atmosphere as guests arrived and explored the space.
Fashion Show
For the runway presentation, I moved into instrumental house music. This maintained the energy and flow of the show while leaving enough space for the host’s commentary and presentation of the collections.
Shopping & Social Hour
Following the fashion show, the soundtrack transitioned into more uplifting vocal house, bringing additional energy to the room as guests shopped, socialized and viewed the new collections.
The result was a gradual progression in energy throughout the event while maintaining a consistent musical identity from beginning to end.
DJ Programming for Brand Events
Brand and corporate events require a different approach from nightclub performances. The music needs to complement the audience, environment and event schedule while supporting the image the brand wants to communicate.
For the ASH GOLF events, that meant moving between sophisticated background music, a structured fashion-show soundtrack and a more energetic social atmosphere without allowing the music to overpower the presentation itself.
It was a pleasure to work with ASH GOLF on two events bringing together fashion, retail and music, while featuring international brands including BOSS GOLF, G/FORE and CHERVO.
