I had the pleasure of DJing Eric and Patty’s wedding after-party at the Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel.
They returned from Canada to celebrate their wedding in Taiwan with family and friends from both Taiwan and Mauritius. The goal for the after-party was to create a celebration that blended the energy of a Canadian wedding party with the vibrant spirit of Mauritian culture.

A Cross-Cultural Wedding After-Party in Taiwan

The night included their choreographed first dance to “September,” a lively Sega group dance, and a dance floor filled with guests celebrating across cultures, generations, and music styles.
For cross-cultural weddings, the role of the DJ is not only to play popular songs. It is about understanding the couple’s background, reading the room, and finding the right musical balance so everyone feels included.

Music Direction & Dance Floor Energy

A successful wedding after-party should feel personal to the couple while still keeping the guests engaged and ready to dance. For Eric and Patty’s celebration, that meant moving smoothly between familiar party songs, cultural moments, and high-energy dance floor tracks.
With over 20 years of DJ experience in Taiwan, I love helping couples bring their unique wedding vision to life. Whether the celebration includes Western wedding traditions, Taiwanese family elements, international guests, or music from different cultures, my goal is to blend those details into one smooth and memorable party.

“Thanks again for an incredible night and capturing the highlights! We definitely picked the right DJ, who understood our vision and executed it flawlessly.”Eric, groom
